The long awaited, heavily anticipated Mega Event launched successfully on the 26th December, 2010. The 7th Aloha Abacus and Mental Arithmetic National Level Competition-2010 went on air with flying colors at Chennai Trade Centre, Nandampakkam. Over 1200 enthusiastic competing Aloha children from various states all across India accompanied by their parents participated in the competition. Mr Kumaran K, CMD of Aloha India and Mrs Renuka Kumaran, Director of Aloha India presided the event. The Chief Guest, Mr Lau Kim, President Malasian Abacus & Mental Arithmetic Association (MAMAA), the Guest of honour were Mr Loh Mun Sung, Founder President, Aloha International Sdn.Bhd. (Malaysia), Mrs Kiran Motwani, Aloha Spain and Mr & Mrs Okeke, Aloha Nigeria.

The presence of Master Franchisees, District Franchisees, Unit Franchisees, Master Trainers, Course Instructors, well wishers and friends added charisma to the occasion. It was a grand event in magnitude, style and comfort very meticulously planned. Aloha India provided free pick up and drop to the venue from the hotel where the stay was arranged for the parents and children who participated in the competition.

The event was broadcasted live on Aloha India website www.alohaindia.com and was witnessed by more than 25000 people. The opening ceremony was beautiful and breath taking. The event had a colourful start with the flying of colourful balloons by Mr Kim, accompanied by Mr Kumaran K, Mrs Renuka Kumaran, Mr Loh, Mrs Kiran Motwani and Mr Tushar.

The Chief Guests lighted the lamp, followed by a prayer song sung by Ms Aishwarya Ramarajan. A welcome speech was given by Ms Grace and later Ms Subhashini addressed the Chief Guests and gave instructions regarding the rules of the competition to the children both in English and Hindi. The Ist set of Question Paper was released by Mr. Kim.

For the first time, “English Smart” Competition was held during National Level Competition which saw many enthusiastic children's participation. The participants were divided into four categories A, B, C and D enclosing Mental Arithmetic, Speed Maths, English Smart and Tiny Tots. The first category C and D for Mental Arithmetic started at 11.30 am, second category A and B for Mental Arithmetic, Speed Maths and English Smart started at 12.30 pm and Tiny Tots at 1.30 pm. The correction of the answer sheet, rechecking and tabulation were done with utmost care.

The Award Ceremony started off at 4'o clock in the evening. Mr Gururaj, Chief Moderator had compered, stole the show with his spontaneity and humor. The ceremony began with lighting of lamp by the Chief Guests. Ms Muthu Meenakshi sung the prayer song to invoke the blessings of God. Mr Kumaran K honoured the Chief Guests.

250 Trophies were given away to the Winners, including special Award of Honour 'ZHUSUAN AWARD' for Best Learning Centre & Best Course Instructors. Aloha congratulate all the Champions and Award them a cash prize of Rs.10000/- to participate in International Competition.

The Mega Event ended around 8'o clock with National Anthem. Team Aloha India made excellent arrangements for the Event - meticulously planned and executed well, which won accolades from Franchisees, Chief Guests, parents and special invitees.
